How this 21k gold price is calculated
We start with the current 24K gold benchmark converted into Pakistani rupee. For 21K gold, the metal value is multiplied by 21/24, or 87.5%. The result is then converted to the selected weight.
This is an estimated melt value. A retail jewellery price can be higher because of tax, craftsmanship and dealer margin. A cash buying price can be lower because the buyer needs to test, refine and resell the metal.
